The White Hart in Castle Combe has reopened its doors following an extensive refurbishment, bringing new management and a refreshed atmosphere to the picturesque village.
The White Hart in Castle Combe is welcoming customers once again following a period of closure for an extensive refurbishment. The historic pub, situated in one of the most photographed villages in the country, reopened its doors on October 9 under the management of Wadworth as part of its Managed House estate.
The brewery has confirmed that the project was designed to update the property while being sympathetic to its long-standing character and charm. The renovated space features cosy interiors and a welcoming courtyard garden intended for visitors looking for a quiet place to eat or drink.
Jo Hind, the retail development manager at Wadworth, expressed enthusiasm for the new chapter of the pub at the heart of the village community. The venue is now being led by Victoria and a new management team, with the company aiming to deliver high standards of service for both local residents and the many tourists who visit the Cotswold location.
The pub has also confirmed it is looking ahead to the festive period. Christmas bookings are now being accepted, with the venue offering a choice between a two or three-course celebration menu, as well as a festive-themed afternoon tea service.
Beyond the seasonal offerings, the pub intends to establish itself as a regular fixture for locals. A schedule of events has been planned, with the first regular weekly quiz night set to begin on October 20.
