A local band is set to perform a fundraising concert at a new Chippenham music venue to support vital research into motor neurone disease.

A Chippenham-based band is taking to the stage next month to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) following a personal connection to the condition. The group, A Bottle of Dog, which features bassist Vince Cater, will host a concert titled Rock'in the Ruze 2026 to support those affected by the disease.

The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, 16 October, at The Ruze, which is Chippenham's newest live music venue. The concert aims to provide an evening of entertainment while collecting donations for the MNDA, which funds both care and research efforts for individuals living with the condition.

Joining A Bottle of Dog for the performance will be a series of supporting acts, including The Corinthian Casuals, Nick Taylor and the Lowdown, and Band on the Side. The organisers have confirmed that all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated directly to the charity.

Doors are set to open at 7pm. Tickets for the fundraiser are priced at £7.59 and are currently available for purchase through online booking channels. Residents looking to support the cause are encouraged to secure their tickets in advance ahead of the October date.
