Engineers are working to restore power to 31 homes after a fault occurred on the overhead electricity network this morning.
Residents in parts of Wiltshire are facing power supply issues this morning following a fault on the local overhead electricity network. Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) reported that the disruption began shortly after 7.30am on Monday, October 19.
The fault is affecting 31 homes situated between Swindon and Marlborough, with the impact concentrated in the SN4 and SN8 postcode areas. Properties in the vicinity of Free's Avenue, located just east of Winterbourne Bassett, have been identified as being among those affected by the loss of supply.
Engineers are currently on-site working to rectify the damage. A spokesperson for SSEN stated that while teams are experienced in managing such faults, they will continue working on the infrastructure until the supply is safely restored to all properties. The energy provider has provided an estimated restoration time of 11.30am, though they noted that repairs may take longer should the issue prove to be more complex than initially anticipated.
