The Marlborough Players are set to stage Tim Firth’s comedy Sheila’s Island at the town hall this November as part of their 20th-anniversary celebrations.

The Marlborough Players have announced their latest production as part of their 20th-anniversary celebrations, with the amateur theatre group set to perform the comedy Sheila’s Island at Marlborough Town Hall later this month.

Running from November 19 to 21, the production follows a group of four corporate colleagues whose team-building weekend in the Lake District goes awry. The play, written by Tim Firth, explores the dynamics of the group as they become stranded on a fog-bound island, forcing them to confront long-standing rivalries and test the limits of their teamwork.

Director Tony Michael described the play as a story of friendship, survival and the complexities of human interaction when faced with an escape-proof situation. The production is a key part of the group's milestone year, commemorating two decades of performing for the local community.

Performances will commence at 7.30pm each evening, with doors opening to the public at 7pm. Tickets for the show are priced at £10. Members of the public can purchase tickets in person at the White Horse Bookshop on Marlborough High Street or online through the dedicated booking platform at wegottickets.com/MarlboroughPlayers. Further details regarding the production and the group's ongoing work can be found at marlboroughplayers.co.uk.
