The rising trio GIRLBAND! are set to perform an intimate in-store show at Sound Knowledge in Marlborough to celebrate the release of their debut album.

Nottingham-based trio GIRLBAND! will mark the start of their upcoming UK in-store tour with an exclusive performance in Marlborough. The band is scheduled to appear at the independent record shop Sound Knowledge on November 12, offering local music fans an early chance to hear tracks from their forthcoming self-titled debut album.

The Marlborough date serves as the launchpad for a wider tour which includes stops in London, Kingston, Oxford, Nottingham, and Leeds. The visit to Wiltshire coincides with the release of the band's debut record, which is due to hit shelves on November 13.

Reflecting on the tour, a spokesperson for the group indicated that the performances are intended to be less formal than a traditional concert. Instead, the band hopes to create a relaxed environment, encouraging attendees to treat the venue like a house party where fans can connect with the music and the artists in a more personal setting.

GIRLBAND! have already established a presence on the touring circuit, having performed more than 200 shows across the UK and Europe. Their live resume includes appearances at notable festivals such as Glastonbury, the Isle of Wight Festival, The Great Escape, and Reeperbahn. Throughout their career, they have shared stages with acts including the Sex Pistols, Jake Bugg, and James.

The band has gained radio support from the likes of Chris Hawkins and Craig Charles on BBC 6 Music. Their debut album is described by the members as a narrative exploration of party culture, covering everything from the chaotic moments of social gatherings to the reflective mornings that follow.

Following their appearance at Sound Knowledge, the band will continue their schedule with a performance at Rough Trade Denmark Street in London on November 13, followed by dates at Banquet Records in Kingston, Truck Store in Oxford, and stops in Nottingham and Leeds later in the month.
