The Gym Group sets opening date for new Salisbury facility at Churchill Way West

The Gym Group has confirmed it will open its doors at the Churchill Way West retail park in Salisbury on November 19.
A long-awaited addition to Salisbury’s fitness sector is finally set to open, with The Gym Group confirming its new branch will welcome its first members on Thursday, 19 November.
The facility, located at the Churchill Way West retail park, is scheduled to open at 12pm. It will occupy a site previously used by Homesense, situated conveniently between Lidl and Sports Direct. This development follows a period of planning and construction that saw the company secure approval to expand the existing unit to accommodate its equipment and functional training spaces.
The arrival of the new gym introduces a 24-hour, low-cost option for city residents and those in surrounding villages. The site is intended to be easily accessible, benefiting from its proximity to major road links and established retail outlets.
The company, which operates more than 250 sites across the UK, has built its service model around no-contract memberships. The expansion into Salisbury represents a significant increase in competition within the local fitness market, providing prospective members with additional choice for their physical activity and health programmes.
With the countdown to the official opening now underway, residents can expect a fully equipped centre featuring a variety of cardio and strength machines, as well as dedicated areas for free weights and functional training.
