New Cooper and Co pub opens in former Salisbury Pizza Hut

A former city centre Pizza Hut has been transformed into a new entertainment-focused pub following a significant investment.
A prominent building on Blue Boar Row in Salisbury has reopened its doors today, Monday 5 October 2026, as a new pub called Cooper and Co. The site, which formerly housed a Pizza Hut, has undergone a seven-figure transformation funded by operator Amber Taverns.
The project involved stripping the building back to its bare brickwork to completely redesign the interior, including the installation of a new cellar, bar area, and updated trading spaces. This marks the first Wiltshire location for the company as part of its broader expansion into the south of England.
Paul Robinson and Denise Hawking, who have managed the transition and will operate the venue, have moved to the city to run the pub. The pair bring nearly 60 years of combined experience in the hospitality sector.
Facilities and offerings
The new venue aims to serve as an entertainment hub, featuring several distinct facilities for visitors. These include:
A private karaoke room available for group bookings.
An integrated audio-visual system designed to show live sporting events, including coverage from Sky Sports and TNT Sports, as well as major boxing pay-per-view events.
Traditional darts boards and a photobooth.
A newly constructed beer garden.
The drinks menu at the bar includes a variety of draught beers, cocktails, spirits, and shooters. The pub has also confirmed it will stock cask ale from Salisbury’s own Hopback Brewery.
You really would not know this was once a Pizza Hut. We took the building virtually back to brick and have completely reimagined the space, from moving the staircases and creating a cellar to building the bar, karaoke room and a brand-new beer garden.

Reflecting on the opening, Paul Robinson stated that the primary goal for the venue is to provide a central space for the community to meet and socialise. The pub is now open at Blue Boar Row, Salisbury, SP1 0DA.
