A former city centre pub has been transformed into a new sports and gaming destination featuring karaoke, interactive games and late-night opening hours.
A new entertainment venue has opened its doors in Salisbury, bringing a combination of live sport and interactive gaming to the city centre. Bill's Bar, located on Fisherton Street, launched on Friday, October 16, within the building that formerly housed The Bridge Tap.
The venue has been taken over by hospitality company Taste the World, which already operates several other sites in the area, including The Old Mill in Harnham and The Cloisters Irish Bar on Catherine Street. According to company owner Jonny Spencer, the firm invested a six-figure sum to renovate the premises, which now features a modern bar, updated toilet facilities, and new gaming equipment.
The interior has undergone a complete redecoration, with a focus on sports culture. Notable additions include a large mural of professional darts player Luke Littler, signed memorabilia from Salisbury FC, and various football scarves and photos of sporting stars. The space is equipped with multiple TV screens positioned to show a wide variety of live sports, including football and NFL fixtures.
Beyond traditional pub offerings, the venue aims to provide interactive experiences for guests. Facilities include karaoke pods, shuffleboard and interactive darts. A DJ booth has been installed above the front door, accompanied by a small dance floor area, reflecting the management's ambition to provide a late-night alternative in the city. The bar will operate until 3am on weekends and midnight throughout the week.
Food options at the site include a menu featuring smashed burgers, crispy fried chicken and stone-baked pizzas. The management stated they intend for the venue to remain an accessible place to drink, with plans for discounted pints available during the working week.
