Residents in Salisbury are being invited to vote for their favourite local coffee shop as the shortlist for the annual Cafe of the Year competition is announced.

Nine independent cafes across Salisbury and the surrounding area have been named as finalists in the search for the Cafe of the Year 2026. The shortlist, compiled following nominations from readers of the Salisbury Journal, recognises the diversity of the city’s coffee scene, ranging from traditional tea rooms and farm shops to dedicated coffee houses.

The businesses vying for the title this year are:

The Yard, 16 Dews Road

Kiwi Coffee, Churchill Gardens

Cholderton Farm Shop, Tidworth Road

Aroma Avenue, 33 High Street

Cafe Vita, The Plaza, Bulford Road

Sonder Cafe, 35 High Street

The Spitfire Kitchen, 7 Pullman Drive

Culture Coffee, 69 Fisherton Street

Charlie's Cafe, 35 Catherine Street

The competition aims to celebrate the hard work of local business owners and the contribution these venues make to the local community. With the finalists now confirmed, the outcome of the competition rests with the public.

To cast a vote, readers must use the official voting coupons appearing in the print edition of the Salisbury Journal on September 24 and October 1. Once completed, the coupons should be posted to Salisbury Journal, Cafe of the Year, Suite B (Ground Floor), Milford House, 43-55 Milford Street, Salisbury, SP1 2BP.

All postal votes must be received by the editorial team no later than October 9 to be counted towards the final result.
