South Western Road was temporarily closed on Monday morning as emergency crews attended an incident near the city railway station.

A busy road in the centre of Salisbury was closed for approximately 40 minutes on Monday morning following an emergency response near the railway station. South Western Road was shut to traffic shortly before 8.30am on September 28, causing disruption for motorists and passengers in the vicinity.

Police attended the scene to manage traffic flow while paramedics provided assistance. A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust confirmed that a double-crewed land ambulance was dispatched to the location at 8.28am. One patient was subsequently conveyed to Salisbury District Hospital for treatment.

The nature of the incident has not been disclosed by authorities. The road was reopened to the public by approximately 9.10am, and traffic conditions in the area returned to normal shortly thereafter.
