Wiltshire Police are seeking to identify the driver of a white car who may have witnessed a serious collision involving a 17-year-old motorcyclist.
Wiltshire Police have launched an appeal for information following a serious collision on the B3079 Lyndhurst Road earlier this month. The incident, which involved a 17-year-old motorcyclist and a Ford Transit van, occurred at approximately 11.20am on Saturday, 19 September.
The teenager, who was riding a Yamaha YZF125 motorcycle at the time of the collision, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. It is understood she is currently recovering from the incident, which took place at the crossroads junction of the B3079 with New Road and Forest Road.
Investigators are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a white car that was in the vicinity when the crash took place. Police believe this individual may have witnessed the incident but left the scene before officers arrived.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "A number of witnesses to the collision remained at the scene but we understand there was a white car near the scene and the driver may have potentially witnessed the incident. This driver had left prior to police arrival so we are keen to speak to them."
Anyone who believes they may have been the driver of the vehicle, or anyone else who was in the area at the time and has relevant information or dashcam footage, is urged to come forward. You can contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team directly on 01225 694597, quoting the crime reference number 54260113709.
