The Salisbury Breast Screening Unit has relocated to the In-Excess Garden Centre on Netherhampton Road to improve accessibility for patients.
Women due for routine breast screening in the Salisbury area are being advised of a new location for the service. The Salisbury Breast Screening Unit has officially moved to the In-Excess Garden Centre site on Netherhampton Road.
The relocation is intended to make appointments more convenient for patients, with the site offering dedicated parking specifically for those visiting the mobile screening unit. The service is expected to remain at this location until at least spring next year, at which point its position will be reviewed.
Nini Jhanji, advanced practitioner clinical lead for the Salisbury and Southampton breast screening service, expressed gratitude for the new site. She noted that the move was vital in ensuring the continued delivery of essential screening services following challenges in securing a suitable venue.
Carl Chambers, managing director of In-Excess, said the company was pleased to support the NHS service. He added that the team running the unit has been welcomed on site, with local amenities such as Charlotte’s Tea Rooms offering support to staff during their stay.
Patients are reminded to check their specific appointment invitation letters for the exact details and instructions regarding their visit. The unit is located at the In-Excess Garden Centre, Netherhampton Road, Salisbury, SP2 8PR.
