Salisbury FC advanced in the FA Cup after a 4-1 victory against Taunton Town, with a standout performance from Jaiden Bartolo.

Salisbury FC have successfully progressed to the next round of the FA Cup following a commanding 4-1 victory over Taunton Town. The Whites demonstrated resilience and attacking flair, overturning an early deficit to ensure their continued presence in the competition.

The visitors initially took the lead in the 22nd minute after a scramble in the penalty area saw Koita capitalise on a rebound to find the net. However, the Salisbury response was swift and decisive. A well-delivered corner from Caine Bradbury caused chaos in the Taunton defence, allowing Jaiden Bartolo to equalise from close range.

Bartolo continued his impressive form before the interval, netting his second of the match after being played through by Alonge. Following some slick build-up play involving Josh Hedges, the Gibraltar international showed great composure to round the goalkeeper and finish into an empty net.

Brian Dutton’s side maintained their intensity throughout the second half, with Hedges extending the lead in the 53rd minute. After collecting the ball from a diagonal pass and cutting inside his marker, Hedges slotted a clinical finish into the bottom corner to make it 3-1.

The victory was capped off late in the game when Mo Dabre scored his first goal for the club. The opportunity arose from a determined run down the left flank by Nathan Odokonyero, who fed Bradbury to set up the Italian forward for a powerful strike into the top corner.

The win ensures Salisbury remain in the hunt for FA Cup success this season. Supporters can look forward to the next stage of the tournament, with the official draw for the following round scheduled to take place on Monday, 21 September at 1 pm.
