Black Hive Jewellery, founded by designer Sabrina O'Keeffe, has launched its first physical shop offering bespoke designs and hands-on workshops.

A new jewellery studio and shop has opened its doors at Studley Grange Garden Centre, providing a fresh retail destination for residents in Swindon and the surrounding area. Black Hive Jewellery, founded by designer Sabrina O'Keeffe, offers a range of handcrafted collections and bespoke commission services from its new base near Junction 16 of the M4.

Ms O'Keeffe, who began her career in jewellery making four years ago following a redundancy, has transitioned from operating a home studio to establishing her first dedicated public retail space. The new shop features both signature collections and a curated selection of accessories, all focusing on high-quality craftsmanship.

The boutique serves as both a showroom and a workspace. For those seeking unique items, Ms O'Keeffe is offering a bespoke service, ranging from engagement and wedding rings to the reworking of heirloom pieces. Each commission involves a personal consultation process to ensure the final item reflects the customer's individual story.

Hands-on creative experiences

Beyond retail, the shop is set to host jewellery-making workshops. These sessions are intended for small groups, including hen parties, team away days and family gatherings, with prices starting at £85 per person. The sessions are fully guided, with all necessary materials provided to ensure attendees can create their own pieces.

Ms O'Keeffe emphasised that the new space is designed to be an accessible environment for customers. She said: "I wanted a space where people can see, touch and try on jewellery that has been made by hand, with real precious metals and real care."

The shop is open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday, between 10am and 4.30pm. With the location benefiting from free parking at Studley Grange, it is positioned to attract visitors from across Wiltshire and the Cotswolds. Further details about the jewellery collections and workshop bookings can be found on the business website.
