Swindon business breakfast to support Wiltshire Treehouse charity

Local business owners are invited to an upcoming networking breakfast at the DoubleTree by Hilton to raise funds for a charity supporting bereaved young people.
A Swindon-based business breakfast is set to return this November, offering local professionals an opportunity to network informally while raising vital funds for a Wiltshire charity.
Organised by PPS Chartered Accountants, the event will be held on Thursday, November 12, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Lydiard Fields, Great Western Way. The morning session runs from 7.30am to 9.30am.
Proceeds from the breakfast will go directly to Wiltshire Treehouse, a charity dedicated to supporting bereaved children and young people across Swindon and the wider county.
Sally Holland, a partner at PPS Chartered Accountants, emphasised that the goal is to create a relaxed environment, intentionally moving away from the pressure of formal introductions or individual sales pitches. "We know networking isn't everyone's favourite thing, particularly when there's an expectation to stand up and talk about yourself," she said. "We try to keep things informal so people can enjoy themselves and have a proper conversation."
Since the firm began hosting these charity events in 2017, they have raised £8,925 for 23 different community projects and charities, including Willows Counselling and Ainslie's Pavilion Project. Beyond financial donations, the organisers often see local businesses offering their time, expertise, and professional contacts to support the charitable causes featured at the sessions.
The upcoming breakfast will feature guest speaker Nicki Kinton, the founder of Confident Cashflow. She is scheduled to deliver a presentation titled Getting Paid On Time Starts Here . Ms Kinton plans to address common challenges faced by small business owners regarding late payments and offer practical advice on improving cash flow management.
Tickets for the event are currently available to purchase online via Eventbrite. For those interested in attending, further details regarding the registration process can be found on the Eventbrite website.
