Seven Swindon pubs have been highlighted for their quality, local beer selection, and community atmosphere in the latest edition of the CAMRA Good Beer Guide.

Seven pubs across Swindon have been celebrated for their commitment to quality ale and community spirit in the newly released CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2027. The annual publication, which features 4,500 pubs nationwide, serves as a key reference for drinkers seeking the best cask beer experiences across the country.

The Pulpit on Devizes Road is among the venues to be featured for the first time this year. The pub has received praise for its revolving selection of beers, which includes a range of local ales, as well as its regular live entertainment programme. Commenting on the achievement, the team at The Pulpit noted that being included in the guide as an independent business is a significant accomplishment.

Other Swindon establishments recognised in the 2027 guide include:

Ashford Road Club: Located in Old Town, this venue was highlighted for its function room and entertainment, having previously been awarded Local CAMRA Club of the Year in 2026.

The Beehive: Situated on Prospect Hill, this pub was commended for its quirky layout, community focus, and diverse event schedule, including poetry and quiz nights.

Drink Valley: A modern cafe-style brewpub on Fleet Street Square, noted for its focus on exclusive drinks and South Asian street food.

The Glue Pot: Recognised for its historic status, the pub dates back to 1840 and has previously held the title of CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year.

Hop Inn: Located on Devizes Road, this venue hosts the Old Town Comedy Club and frequently supports local businesses through artisan markets and live music events.

Tap & Brew: A flexible space on Devizes Road that operates as a coffee shop during the day and a pub in the evening, offering five real ales on handpump.

The guide, compiled by volunteers from the Campaign for Real Ale, continues to focus on supporting independent brewers and publicans in the face of wider industry challenges. Copies of the 2027 Good Beer Guide are now available for purchase via the official CAMRA website.
