A new family-run fried chicken restaurant has opened its doors in Swindon, offering a variety of meal deals and menu options for local diners.
A new addition to Swindon's fast-food scene has arrived with the opening of Wingers at Lydiard Fields. The restaurant, situated on Great Western Way near junction 16 of the M4, opened its doors on 12 October.
Wingers is a family-run business founded in 2020 in Lichfield by owners Amran Sunner, his brother Dylan and their father Bill. The Swindon site represents one of more than 30 locations now operating across the UK, specialising in buttermilk-fried chicken.
The menu features a variety of options, ranging from classic chicken tenders to wraps. Recent additions to the brand's offering include the 'Beast Meal', a collaboration with former World's Strongest Man winner Eddie Hall, which features a protein-rich chocolate cookie alongside standard meal components.
Reflecting on the experience of a meal at the new venue, the selection of buttermilk tenders paired with garlic and parmesan sauce proved to be a popular combination, complemented by crispy skin-on fries. The restaurant also offers indulgent sides such as mac 'n' cheese and a range of milkshakes, including flavours topped with Belgian waffle pieces.
For those considering a visit, the establishment is open from 11am to 11pm, seven days a week. While takeaway meals for one can reach towards the £20 mark depending on selections, the generous portion sizes and consistent food quality offer a distinct option for those looking for quick-service dining in the area.
The new Swindon branch is part of the brand's wider expansion, bringing its established buttermilk recipe to the local community.
