Swindon Town look to extend positive run against familiar threats in Rotherham clash

Swindon Town return to the Nigel Eady County Ground this weekend looking to build on a promising week of results as they face a struggling Rotherham side.
Swindon Town head into this weekend's clash against Rotherham United with renewed momentum following a productive week of results. Having secured five points from matches against Walsall, Barnet, and Bristol Rovers, manager Ian Holloway will be eager for his side to maintain that form against a struggling Millers outfit.
Rotherham United find themselves in 22nd place in League Two, having failed to secure a victory since September. Despite their league standing and the difficulties faced by the new leadership duo of Steve McClaren and Alex Bruce, the visitors remain a threat. They have managed to score 17 goals so far this season, the highest tally of any team currently in the bottom half of the table, though their defensive record remains the weakest in the division.
Swindon supporters will be wary of two familiar faces within the Rotherham squad. Striker Paul Mullin, who netted ten goals during the 2018-19 season for the Robins, has started this campaign in sharp form with eight goals already to his name. Alongside him, winger Aaron Nemane, a primary transfer target for Swindon during the summer window, is expected to pose a significant challenge down the flanks.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, Holloway acknowledged the specific threat posed by Nemane, noting: It is about what he does on a regular basis: beating people. Aaron Nemane knows how to beat someone; he knows how to pass it, follow his pass. I thought he was very unlucky to be let go.
On the injury front, the squad sees a boost with the return of George Sebine and Lenny Agbaire to contention. However, the manager continues to manage a challenging period for the group, with Fabio Tavares and Jamie Jellis ruled out for the match. There remain doubts over the availability of Klaidi Lolos, as the medical staff assess his fitness ahead of kick-off.
The match offers a chance for Swindon to capitalise on their improved performances, though they will need to remain disciplined against a Rotherham side looking to arrest their decline. Kick-off takes place at the Nigel Eady County Ground.
