Christ Church to host immersive Tim Burton-themed concert this Halloween

Swindon’s Christ Church is set to host a unique musical experience featuring the iconic soundtracks of Tim Burton’s most famous films this October.
A special Halloween-themed musical event is coming to Swindon, offering fans of cinema and orchestral music a chance to experience the imaginative worlds of director Tim Burton. The Mystery Ensemble will perform a live concert at the historic Christ Church on October 30, with proceedings scheduled to begin at 7:30pm.
The performance, titled Tim Burton’s Universe , highlights the long-standing creative collaboration between the director and composer Danny Elfman. The programme is designed to showcase the blend of gothic charm and whimsical wonder that defines the pair’s cinematic output.
Attendees can expect a range of arrangements from well-known scores, including the ethereal melodies of Alice in Wonderland and the festive sounds of The Nightmare Before Christmas . The setlist also explores darker and more poignant themes, with selections from Edward Scissorhands , Corpse Bride , Beetlejuice , and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street , as well as the bold, orchestral sweep of Batman and the eccentric themes from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory .
