By Swindon Now Editorial Team · Published

Swindon Designer Outlet is hosting a series of free family activities and promotional shopping events throughout the October half-term.
Families in Swindon are being invited to participate in a series of free events and promotional shopping days at the Designer Outlet as part of the centre's October half-term programme. The festivities, which run through to Saturday, October 31, include a range of creative workshops and themed activities aimed at keeping children entertained during the school break.
A primary feature of the week is the Halloween-themed Haribo Trail. Participants are tasked with locating hidden characters displayed in various shop windows across the retail destination. Completed trail sheets can be returned to the Haribo store, where families are entitled to a 10 per cent discount and a confectionery prize.
The centre has also scheduled several hands-on activities for younger visitors. Following earlier sessions, families can look forward to:
Panto-themed crafting: Wednesday, October 28, from 10am to 5pm, organised in collaboration with the Wyvern Theatre.
Face painting: Saturday, October 31, from 12pm to 4pm, located outside Chopstix near the North Entrance.
Beyond the children's events, the outlet is also hosting 'The Plus Event' on Thursday, October 29, and Friday, October 30. During these two days, a selection of participating brands will offer shoppers an additional 20 per cent reduction on top of existing outlet prices. Stores taking part in this promotion include Belstaff, Ben Sherman, Boss, Calvin Klein, Lacoste, M&S, Tommy Hilfiger, and White Stuff.
Sean Castle, centre manager at Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Swindon, said: "Half term is all about spending quality time together, and we wanted to create plenty of reasons for families to make a day of it. From following the spooky Haribo Trail to getting creative at our Halloween workshops, there will be something for children of all ages to enjoy alongside a spot of shopping and a bite to eat."
Further information regarding the full schedule of events and store updates can be found on the official Designer Outlet Swindon website.
