Swindon's GWR STEAM museum is set to welcome TFN:Swindon, a large-scale convention for Transformers fans, featuring traders, professional guests, and interactive panels.

A major event for science fiction and toy enthusiasts is coming to Swindon this autumn, as the GWR STEAM museum prepares to host TFN:Swindon. Organised by TFNation Ltd, the convention will occupy the museum's Great Western Hall on Saturday, 21 November, bringing a packed schedule of activities to the town.

The event is billed as a celebration of the long-running Transformers franchise, catering to fans of both the original 1980s toy line and modern iterations. The convention floor will feature a variety of traders offering vintage and contemporary collectables, alongside a dedicated space called The Forge, where local and visiting artists and creators from the community will display their work.

Beyond the marketplace, the programme includes a series of talks, panels, and presentations. These sessions offer fans an opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals, including writers, comic book artists, toy designers, and voice actors associated with the Transformers universe. Organisers have emphasised that the event is designed to foster an inclusive environment, welcoming attendees of all ages and backgrounds.

For those planning to attend, the event offers a chance to combine a niche fan experience with a visit to the wider museum site. Attendees are encouraged to explore the award-winning STEAM exhibitions during the day as part of their visit to the venue.

Tickets for the convention are available exclusively through the TFNation website. As part of the event's family-friendly focus, entry for children under the age of 12 is free of charge.
