Wiltshire Music Centre will host a major youth production of 'Stardust: A Musical Journey' this November, featuring 200 local performers.
A large-scale musical production is set to bring together 200 local children for a space-themed performance at the Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford on Avon. The show, titled Stardust: A Musical Journey , is scheduled to take place on 23 November and 25 November.
The production centres on a story of six young astronauts who find themselves stranded on different planets representing various emotions. The narrative follows their efforts to find courage and travel to their final destination, the happy planet of Zarg.
The performance serves as the latest initiative from Voices for Life, a project dedicated to improving children's confidence through musical expression. Since the programme's inception in 2021, organisers report having engaged more than 30,000 children in similar singing and wellbeing experiences.
The production will feature live music provided by the Bristol Ensemble. It will be conducted by Kate Courage and narrated by actor John Telfer, well known for his role in The Archers . The original music and lyrics for the show were written by Jools Scott and Sue Curtis.
Tickets for the performances are currently available, with prices ranging from £7 to £13. Proceeds from the ticket sales are earmarked to support future Voices for Life projects, helping the organisation continue providing musical opportunities for children across the region.
