Members at the Melksham Community Campus can now access expanded training zones and new equipment following a significant refit of the facility.
Residents using the Melksham Community Campus can now benefit from an upgraded gym facility, following the completion of a major refurbishment project at the site.
Wiltshire Council has confirmed the gym has undergone a layout refresh, designed to increase the amount of available training space and diversify the range of equipment on offer. Among the notable additions are a larger area dedicated to free weights, new cable machines, and a suite of assisted strength equipment.
The centre has also introduced new functional training equipment, as well as updated resistance and conditioning machines. The project is aimed at catering to a wider variety of fitness goals, ranging from general health and wellbeing to specific strength training requirements.
David Redfern, director of leisure, culture and communities at Wiltshire Council, said the changes were intended to provide residents with more options to support their fitness journey. He stated that the new layout is designed to accommodate different levels of ability and help more people become active.
The upgraded facilities are now open to both existing members and those looking to join the gym for the first time. The council is positioning the improvements as part of a wider effort to keep residents active and healthy through the provision of high-quality local leisure infrastructure.
