Wiltshire Police are seeking witnesses after an 18-year-old cyclist was knocked from her bike by a van in Trowbridge.

Wiltshire Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a young cyclist was injured in a collision involving a van in Trowbridge. The incident occurred at approximately 7.05am on 13 October near the roundabout connecting Elizabeth Way and Canal Road.

According to reports from authorities, the 18-year-old woman was travelling along the road when she was struck by the vehicle, resulting in her falling from her bicycle. While the driver of the van stopped at the scene to check on the welfare of the cyclist, they left the area without exchanging any personal or insurance details with the victim.

A member of the public also stopped to assist the cyclist immediately following the collision. Police are now keen to identify and speak with both this witness and the driver involved in the incident. The cyclist required attendance at a minor injuries unit for treatment later that day.

Officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has relevant dash-cam footage from the area at the time to come forward. Information can be provided by emailing 70165@wiltshire.police.uk. Alternatively, those wishing to remain anonymous can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
