Violinist Basil Alter and pianist Jong Sun Woo are set to perform a recital of 20th-century music in Bradford-on-Avon this October.
A pair of rising stars in the classical music world will visit Bradford-on-Avon for an afternoon recital featuring a blend of contrasting 20th-century compositions. Violinist Basil Alter and pianist Jong Sun Woo are scheduled to perform at the Wiltshire Music Centre on 28 October 2026, with the concert starting at 1pm.
The programme for the event places a focus on Maurice Ravel, including his Second Sonata for violin and piano. The piece is frequently noted by critics and musicians alike for its stylistic diversity, particularly the inclusion of a movement inspired by the blues, which remains a centrepiece of the work.
The performance offers a range of ticketing options to ensure accessibility for different members of the community. Standard tickets are available for £13, with a discounted supported rate of £10 for those who might otherwise be unable to attend. The organisers have also introduced a £16 Pay It Forward option, which provides an opportunity for audience members to contribute towards subsidising ticket costs for others.
All ticket prices listed include a £3 booking fee. Residents interested in attending are encouraged to book in advance to secure their place at the venue.
