An upcoming art session in Westwood encourages residents of all skill levels to embrace the beauty of imperfection through seasonal sketching.

A local community event is set to bring residents together for a relaxed evening of creativity later this month. The Beeb Creative Club is hosting its first 'Embrace Imperfection' art session, scheduled to take place at the Wildflower Cafe in Westwood, near Bradford on Avon.

Taking place on October 28, the event will run from 7pm until 9pm. The session aims to provide a welcoming and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their artistic side, regardless of their experience level. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced artist, the organisers are encouraging a focus on the process rather than the final result.

The session is themed around the natural beauty of the autumn season. Participants will be provided with a still-life arrangement featuring seasonal elements, such as pinecones, autumnal leaves, and pumpkins. Guidance will be offered throughout the evening, starting with warm-up exercises to help guests settle into the creative flow, though attendees are free to approach the sketching as they choose.

To support the creative environment, the session will be accompanied by vintage jazz music. A selection of drawing materials—including graphite pencils, biros, charcoal, white chalk, erasers, and recycled paper—is included with the booking. However, attendees are also welcome to bring their own preferred supplies if they wish.

A complimentary hot tea or drip coffee is provided upon arrival, and further refreshments, including vegan and gluten-free snack options, will be available for purchase at the venue. As space is limited, those interested in attending are encouraged to secure their place through the official booking link provided by the organisers.
