The law firm is expanding its presence in Wiltshire with a new branch at Kingston Mill Lofts, set to open in late November to coincide with the town's Christmas lights celebrations.

A long-standing Wiltshire law firm is set to expand its local presence with the opening of a new office in Bradford on Avon. Goughs Solicitors, which has operated in the county since its foundation in Calne in 1882, will open its doors at the Kingston Mill Lofts site on Friday, 27 November.

The expansion marks the eighth location for the firm, which currently employs more than 100 staff across its various offices. According to the company, the new base is intended to provide residents, families and local businesses with a comprehensive range of legal services. These will include family law, residential property, private client work, real estate, and corporate and commercial law. The firm stated that this will make it the only full-service law firm located within the town.

Managing partner Matthew Drew described the expansion as an exciting milestone for the business and a reflection of its commitment to making high-quality legal advice more accessible. He noted that the firm aimed to support the community with a wide range of needs, from first-time home buyers to business owners and those planning for the future.

The opening date has been coordinated to align with the town's upcoming Christmas lights celebrations, an event which Goughs is also sponsoring. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 4.30pm on the opening day, with the firm anticipating that a prominent local rugby figure and former England captain will be in attendance to officially unveil the new premises.

The launch event is due to run between 3.30pm and 5.45pm, offering an opportunity for the firm to introduce itself to the local community. Mr Drew added that the decision to time the opening with the festive celebrations was intentional, as the firm looked forward to meeting its new neighbours and beginning this new chapter in the town.
