More than 250 people gathered at Concours House near Bradford on Avon to showcase rare vehicles and support a local animal charity.

Motoring enthusiasts and animal lovers came together for a charity event near Bradford on Avon, successfully raising funds for the Bath Cats and Dogs Home. The inaugural Paws and Pistons show, hosted at Concours House at Kingston Farm Court on Sunday, 18 October, drew a crowd of over 250 attendees.

The event offered a unique blend of automotive displays and pet-friendly activities. While owners had the opportunity to display their vehicles, the day also featured dog competitions, refreshments, and a pop-up photography studio for pet portraits. Lottie Gooseman, general manager at Concours House, described the day as a positive, albeit busy, experience that welcomed visitors from across the region.

Among the highlights was a display of rare vehicles, including a Ford Racing Puma owned by Graham Gilling. This model is exceptionally scarce, with only 500 originally produced and an estimated 14 believed to remain in existence globally. Around 25 to 30 vehicles were showcased within the venue’s barn, while many other enthusiasts brought their own cars to share with the community.

Organisers confirmed that the event successfully raised more than £250 for the Bath Cats and Dogs Home. Ms Gooseman noted that the initiative was born out of a shared appreciation for pets among staff and frequent visitors to the site. Having collaborated with the charity previously, organisers were keen to support their efforts once again.

Despite the high turnout and the presence of numerous dogs, organisers reported that the day proceeded smoothly. Following the success of this first event, plans are already being considered for future gatherings of a similar nature.
