Serving military personnel, veterans and cadets can travel for free on Stagecoach buses in Wiltshire to attend Remembrance services this November.

Members of the Armed Forces community across Wiltshire will be able to travel for free on Stagecoach buses throughout November to help them attend commemorative events. The offer, which covers both Remembrance Sunday and Remembrance Day, is open to serving military personnel, veterans and cadets.

To access the free travel, passengers will need to provide evidence of their service. This can be done by showing a military ID, wearing a military uniform, displaying medals or presenting a Veterans Badge. The initiative is intended to facilitate access to local Remembrance commemorations, allowing those who have served to travel to ceremonies and services within the county at no cost.

Martin Gibbon, managing director for Stagecoach West, said the initiative serves as a gesture of appreciation for the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces community. He described the period of Remembrance as a vital opportunity for communities across Wiltshire to come together and pay tribute to those affected by conflict.

Stagecoach has held a longstanding relationship with the military sector, having been a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant since March 2015. The operator also holds Gold status under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, which acknowledges businesses that provide support for the Armed Forces community and encourage others to do the same.
