Wiltshire Police are investigating the theft of kitchen equipment and decorations from a church group in Edington.

Wiltshire Police have launched an investigation following a break-in at a church group facility in the village of Edington. Two storage sheds belonging to the Priory Church were forced open, resulting in the theft of a variety of essential items used by the organisation.

Officers believe the incident took place overnight between September 27 and September 28. The perpetrators gained access to the sheds and removed a box containing crockery, cutlery, and table decorations.

PC Simon Gomm, speaking on the impact of the incident, noted that the theft will be felt keenly by those who rely on the group. He highlighted that the organisation operates with limited funding, making the loss of these everyday items particularly difficult for the members involved.

The police are now calling for anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of the church during the timeframe of the break-in to come forward. Residents or visitors who might hold information that could assist the investigation are urged to contact Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting crime reference number 54260117332.
