The Wiltshire Music Centre will host a unique Halloween performance featuring the Will Gregory Moog Ensemble, reimagining iconic horror film soundtracks.
A unique musical experience is coming to Bradford on Avon this October, as the Will Gregory Moog Ensemble prepares to take the stage at the Wiltshire Music Centre for a special Halloween performance.
Scheduled for 30 October, the event will see the synthesiser chamber ensemble present a programme that blends classical music with the electronic sounds of horror cinema. The ensemble is well-regarded for its innovative approach to transcription and performance, having spent years developing a reputation for richly textured arrangements.
The concert will feature reimaginings of John Carpenter’s iconic horror film scores, alongside works by Johann Sebastian Bach. Beyond the traditional repertoire, the group will also explore the potential of modern electronic instrumentation, specifically utilising the Ewi—an Electronic Wind Instrument.
The Ewi allows performers to control a wide range of synthesised sounds by blowing into a mouthpiece and using fingerings similar to those of a traditional saxophone. The performance is expected to showcase how this technology can sit alongside more traditional chamber music to create an immersive soundscape suitable for the season.
Tickets for the performance are currently available. The cost is set at £29 for adults, while tickets for students and those under 18 are priced at £16. Further information regarding booking and event timings can be found through the Wiltshire Music Centre.
